A HUGE Thank You goes out to Ms. Blough and Ms. Gumina our music teachers!! They put in a lot of EXTRA time when planning our music concerts! They do a WONDERFUL JOB with our Youngest Learners here! THANK YOU! We also owe Mr. Lipon a HUGE THANK YOU for ALL of the time and planning that he put into our FIELD DAY!
We had so much fun! THANK YOU MR. LIPON! This week we are finishing our science unit on LIVING THINGS! We are learning: -All things can be classified as living or nonliving. -Living things are diverse in their characteristics. -Good observations help us learn more about the world around us. This was our WORM EXPLORATION DAY. We explored with RED WORMS instead of NIGHT CRAWLERS, because we couldn't get them. We did lots of explorations, and finally let the worms paint for us. Of course, we cleaned them off, and let them go. Here we are with our ANIMAL SCULPTURE we created. We had to create it so we paid attention to each part on the animal and what the animal used the body part for.
This Year Project 64 is new in our classroom has given us many BENEFITS: - 70 minute attention span - Following directions - Engaged listening with the teacher - Near far perceptual skills - Proper pencil grip - Hand - eye coordination - Acute observational skills - Organized workspace - Quiet learning environment http://www.drawingchildrenintoreading.com/connection-project.htmlThis was our SCIENCE UNIT on MY EARTH. We explored Earth's materials. The kids enjoyed the ROCK explorations the most. Students LOVED bringing in their OWN COLLECTIONS from home as well! We sure are GREAT SCIENTISTS WHO LOVE TO EXPLORE!! |
