For the month of October our PBIS celebration was a SCAVENGER HUNT on our nature trail. It was a beautiful day! It was a little difficult to keep up with the 2nd graders. I wanted to stop and take in all of the nature. I did get to take some pictures along the way... Mrs. Otten is such a GREAT LEADER, planning these events for our students. When they completed the scavenger hunt, each student received a FINGER FLASHLIGHT for FLASHLIGHT FRIDAY READING!!!! FLASHLIGHT FRIDAY READING!!!!!!

As a school we raised close to $14,000!! Our class brought in $495.00. We had a GREAT afternoon, and I'm sure many came home VERY TIRED on Friday night! It was a WONDERFUL TEAM BUILDING event and brought us all together as a classroom community. We chanted and sang all the way there and back.
On our return we didn't even have time for our snack! We had to rush to the JIM BASKETBALL JONES assembly. This man is AMAZING!! He had a POWERFUL message about how we can do ANYTHING we put our mind to... with PRACTICE OVER TIME! He taught us about kindness, and respect. The first person who said, "Thank You," made it in the finals. He noticed people who were going above and beyond for others in the audience. "DON'T TALK ABOUT IT... BE ABOUT IT!"
