We compared and contrasted the 1947 version by Marcia Brown and the 1998 version by Heather Forest. I had hoped to do a lot more with texts but we RAN OUT OF TIME!! Next year... we need more time! Today Sabin's Mom sent in a Special TURKEY TREAT for our class!!

Today we got to go and visit Swisslane Dairy in Alto, MI. The Oesch Family welcomed us out to their dairy farm to teach us many things.
We were able to: -bottle feed newborn calves -see where cows eat and sleep -see where cows live -watch as cows are being milked -learn about the process of milk and how it gets in the store -ride on the hayride -see farm equipment and tractors -learn the importance of dairy nutrition -learned a WHOLE BUNCH about cows THANK YOU SO MUCH Oesch family and Swisslane Dairy Farm! This trip was paid for by: 2nd grade Cookie funds and Champs on the Run. |
